MakeSents is a random-sentence generator for Mac OS X, nothing more, nothing less. However, the way it is designed, it can create some rather humorous sentences. If you have had a bad day and need to fall into wild fits of giggles, this just might be what you are looking for! And, since it is built to be versatile, there are currently two versions of this program; MakeSents creates general-purpose random sentences, and MakeYerFortune creates sentences that sound as if they were stolen from fortune cookies, perhaps from some other planet.

In this early "1.0" version, MakeSents and MakeYerFortune have many words that relate to the online music composing community called 'MacJams', but there are still a great deal of generic sentences created as well. A future version will allow you, the user, to add/edit your own word sets.

System Requirements
This software will run on either PowerPC or Intel Macintosh (it is a "Universal Binary"), on MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard) or newer.

Features

• Virtually unlimited variety of grammatically correct sentences (currently the word-set is limited and not editable, but that is about to change.)
• There is a "Back" button to return to previously-generated sentences.
• The displayed sentence can be "spoken" with Apple's Mac-Speech synthesized voices, either to the speaker, or saved to an AIFF file for use in other applications.

Book

I wrote and published a book/CD-ROM about the freeware 3D graphics program "POV-Ray" through Waite Group Press (now Macmillan) called 'Ray Tracing for the Macintosh CD' (ISBN 1-878739-72-7). It is now out of print, but you may still be able to find copies here and there.

Un-supported
